4. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Our lawful bases include:

  • Consent — when you have given us clear consent to process your data for a specific purpose (e.g., subscribing to our newsletter).
  • Legitimate interests — when processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as responding to your inquiries, operating and securing the Site, and understanding visitor behavior, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation — when processing is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.
  • Performance of a contract — when processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

5.1 Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer relationship management, and email marketing platforms. These service providers are contractually obligated to use personal information only to provide services to us and to protect it consistent with this Privacy Policy.

5.2 Legal Compliance and Protection of Rights

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, or governmental request; (b) enforce our Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Dascora Group, our users, or the public.

5.3 Business Transfers

If Dascora Group is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of all or part of our assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change through the Site or by email.

5.4 With Your Consent

We may share information for any other purpose with your consent.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. We use the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function, such as security and load balancing. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed most often. We may use services like Google Analytics or similar tools.
  • Functional cookies — remember choices you make to provide enhanced functionality.

6.1 Managing Cookies

Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You may refuse cookies or delete cookies that have already been set. If you disable certain cookies, some features of the Site may not function properly.

6.2 Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to these signals, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. You may still manage cookies as described above.

6.3 Google Analytics

The Site may use Google Analytics to understand visitor behavior. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information on an anonymous basis. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Contact form submissions and inquiry information are typically retained for up to three (3) years after the last communication
  • Newsletter subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, plus a reasonable administrative period
  • Analytics data is typically retained for up to twenty-six (26) months in standard configurations
  • Information required to comply with legal obligations is retained for the period required by applicable law

When information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, access controls, and secure storage practices.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights as required by applicable law.

9.1 Rights Available to All Users

Regardless of your location, you may:

  • Access and correct — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and request that we correct inaccurate information.
  • Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly.
  • Delete — request that we delete your personal information, subject to exceptions required or permitted by law.

9.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”) provides you with additional rights, including:

  • Right to know — request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we have collected about you, subject to exceptions.
  • Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so this right does not currently apply.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring this right.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 14. We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal information.
  • Right to restrict processing — ask us to stop or limit processing.
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
  • Right to lodge a complaint — file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9.4 Other U.S. State Residents

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others) may have rights similar to those described above under their respective laws. To exercise any applicable rights, contact us using the information in Section 14.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will take steps to delete the information. For residents of the EEA, the age threshold is 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country).

11. International Visitors

Dascora Group is based in Michigan, United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may be different from those of your country of residence. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the Effective Date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice (such as by email to newsletter subscribers or a prominent notice on the Site).
